The Mental Wellness Space

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026

Dr. Marks Academy and The Mental Wellness Space are operated by Marks Psychiatry and Forensic Services ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy describes personal information handled through drmarksacademy.com, mentalwellnessspace.com, our course portal at learn.drmarksacademy.com, and related forms and landing pages that link to this policy. Contact us at [email protected].

Our separate retail store and clinical services may have different notices. This policy covers the educational services described here and does not replace a patient privacy notice.

Information you provide

  • Account and contact information: your name, email address, mobile phone number (if you choose to provide it), login and enrollment information, and details you provide when requesting support.
  • Course activity: course access, lesson completion, and related participation records.
  • Assessments: submitted answers, calculated scores, result selections, completion dates, and written reflections you choose to save.
  • Purchases: order and transaction details associated with your purchase. Payment processing providers handle payment information through the checkout offered to you.
  • Messages and posts: information you send to support or post in course discussions. Check the audience before posting in a discussion.

Your assessment responses and reflections

Saved assessments are associated with your course contact record so you can revisit your report. Authorized course administrators and service providers supporting the platform can access stored information. These responses are not a confidential communication with a treating clinician.

Reflections may reveal sensitive information about your wellbeing or personal circumstances. Only include what you are comfortable storing; avoid other people's identifying information and medical records. The assessments are educational tools, not clinical evaluations.

Saving the High-Functioning Self-Assessment again replaces the report currently displayed in your course profile. Earlier submissions may remain in platform submission records or backups until deleted under our retention practices. A personal results link may contain report data; anyone you share that link with may be able to view the report.

How information is used

We use information to provide course access, calculate and display requested assessment reports, save results, respond to support requests, administer purchases, protect accounts, troubleshoot services, meet legal obligations, and improve our educational services. Marketing messages are handled according to your preferences and applicable consent requirements. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop necessary account or purchase messages.

Who can receive information

We use Course Creator 360 and its HighLevel/LeadConnector platform to support course delivery, forms, contact records, and communications. Other providers may support payments, hosting, and technical services. They receive information needed for their services, subject to applicable arrangements.

For this individual-purchase course, we do not provide your individual assessment answers or reflections to an employer or enterprise buyer. Any future organization-sponsored program will describe its reporting practices separately before participation. We do not use private assessment reflections as public testimonials without separate permission.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect legal rights or safety, or in connection with a business transfer, subject to applicable protections.

Text messaging (SMS)

If you choose to receive text messages from us, we collect your mobile phone number and a record of your consent. We use this information only to send the messages you requested, such as reminders for live trainings and events and updates about programs you have registered for or purchased. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase or registration.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help, or contact [email protected].

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers that help us deliver messages (such as our messaging platform), which may use it only to provide that service.

Cookies and device information

The services use browser technologies needed for account sessions, security, and platform operation. Technical information may include IP address, browser/device information, and usage logs.

Our website uses Google Analytics to understand website use and Meta Pixel to measure advertising performance and support advertising audiences. Depending on the configuration and your choices, these tools may collect device identifiers, IP addresses, pages visited, and interaction events. Google and Meta process information under their applicable policies. Learn more at Google Privacy Policy and Meta Privacy Policy.

Retention and security

We retain information for the purposes described in this policy, including providing course access and saved reports, handling support and disputes, and meeting recordkeeping requirements. Retention varies by record type. Contact us to request deletion or ask about a particular record.

We use safeguards intended to protect information, but no online system can guarantee absolute security. Protect your account and do not share personal report links publicly.

Your choices and rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, obtain a copy of, or delete personal information; withdraw consent; restrict or object to certain uses; or appeal a request decision. Email [email protected] to make a request. We may verify your identity or an agent's authority before disclosing or changing records. Where applicable, you may complain to your privacy regulator.

You may unsubscribe from marketing using the unsubscribe link in a message. To stop text messages, reply STOP to any message. Browser settings can limit cookies, although blocking essential cookies may affect sign-in and course features. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale or sharing of personal information as those terms are defined by law. Contact us to exercise applicable rights or ask about available privacy choices.

Adults and educational use

These educational services are intended for adults age 18 and older. If you believe a child has provided information, contact support so we can investigate and address it.

Updates and contact

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the services or information practices. We will identify the date of the update and provide additional notice where required.
